Made specifically to be combined with myDAQ National Instruments (it fits with the specific connector placed on the lateral side), this board consist essentially of three sections: the power supply, the function generator and the educational section. containing a LM35 linear temperature transducer and some LEDs and buttons operated by the GPIO myDAQ. This last section can be used to experiment with LabVIEW. The most interesting and difficult section of the circuit is the function generator. It is based on the integrated XR2209 that allows to generate a square wave and a triangular wave amplitude and variable frequency, besides another components that allows to generate the sinusoidal square wave using a pulseshaping  circuit that begins from the triangular square wave. The selection of the frequency of the waveform  is performed besides R25 (potentiometer), from the "RANGE selector position", that switching the capacitors C8, C9, C10, allows to obtain a range which extends between 10 Hz and 25 kHz, divided as follows: C8 from 10 to 250 Hz; C9 from 100 Hz to 2.5 kHz; C10 from 1 to 25 kHz. The power supply section is constituted by two adjustable linear voltage regulators, one positive and one negative. They shall to obtain, from the dual +/-15V  output voltage from myDAQ, an asymmetrical component with di ±6V, necessary  for powering the integrated XR2209.  In this way we can powered the whole circuit through the output voltages from myDAQ, without any necessity of using an external dedicated power supply. The using of the dual ±6 volt voltage also allows, to not waste too much from myDAQ, because is this device that provide to power the whole board given that this device is to provide power to the entire board; remember, by the way, that myDAQ can deliver currents of small magnitude, given that the total power available to the power module, the analog and digital outputs, is generally limited to 500 mW, as indicated in the manual provided by National Instruments.

This project comes in  kit . Some components have to be soldered to the included PCB.
